Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms

By creating an account or using SiteBrief (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of service

SiteBrief is an AI-powered website operations platform. The Service includes uptime monitoring, SSL and domain expiry checks, performance audits, security header analysis, SEO checks, accessibility scans, competitor intelligence, and DevLab — an AI engine that detects issues, explains them, and opens fix pull requests on GitHub or GitLab on your behalf. We send alerts when issues are detected. The Service is provided “as is” and we make no guarantees of uninterrupted availability.

3. Account registration

• ·You must provide accurate registration information and keep it up to date.
• ·You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and password.
• ·One person or legal entity may not maintain more than one free account.
• ·You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• ·Monitor websites you do not own or have permission to monitor.
• ·Perform denial-of-service attacks or intentionally overload third-party servers.
• ·Resell or redistribute the Service without prior written consent.
• ·Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems.
• ·Use the Service for any illegal or fraudulent purpose.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules without notice.

5. AI features and third-party integrations

• ·DevLab uses AI to analyse your websites and generate code fixes. All AI-generated content is a suggestion only — you are responsible for reviewing and approving any pull request before merging.
• ·When you connect a GitHub or GitLab account, you authorise SiteBrief to create branches and open pull requests on repositories you explicitly link. We will never push directly to your default branch.
• ·AI-generated fixes are provided without warranty. We are not liable for any issues arising from merging AI-generated code into your codebase.
• ·Competitor Intelligence features access publicly available information only. You may not use these features to scrape or collect data in violation of third-party terms of service.

6. Plans and payment

• ·Free plan: Up to 20 sites, 3 DevLab auto-fix PRs per month. No credit card required. Free forever.
• ·Paid plans: Billed monthly. You may cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the billing period.
• ·Prices may change with 30 days written notice by email.
• ·We do not offer refunds for partial months.

7. Data and privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. In summary: your data is stored in the EU (Ireland), we do not sell it, and you can delete your account and all associated data at any time.

8. Service availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee 100% uptime of the SiteBrief platform itself. We are not liable for missed alerts caused by our own downtime. Monitoring checks may be delayed during maintenance windows. We will provide advance notice of planned maintenance where possible.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SiteBrief shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Service, including but not limited to lost revenue, lost data, or business interruption. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 3 months prior to the claim.

10. Intellectual property

The SiteBrief name, logo, and software are our intellectual property. You may not copy, modify, or distribute them without permission. You retain ownership of all data you submit to the Service.

11. Termination

You may close your account at any time from the Settings page. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your data will be deleted within 30 days.

12. Changes to terms

We may update these Terms at any time. We will notify you by email at least 14 days before material changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after that date constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the European Union. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Ireland.
