SiteBrief/Documentation

Team Collaboration

Invite colleagues to your SiteBrief account, assign roles, and restrict access to specific sites. Available on Pro and Agency plans.

Roles

RoleWhat they can do
ViewerSee sites, dashboards, and reports — read-only
EditorAdd and edit sites, run manual checks, create tasks
AdminFull access: invite members, change settings, manage integrations
ℹ️
Note:The account owner always has full access and cannot be removed.

Invite a team member

Go to Team in the sidebar and fill in:

  • Email — the person's work email
  • Role — Viewer, Editor, or Admin
  • Position (optional) — e.g. Developer, Designer, PM — shown as a label on their profile

The invite is valid for 7 days. The recipient clicks the link in the email and signs up or logs in.

Restrict access to specific sites

By default a team member can see all sites on the account. To restrict access, click the globe icon next to the member and select specific sites.

Leave all sites unselected to grant access to all sites (default). Select one or more sites to limit the member to those only.

💡
Tip:Useful for client-facing team members who should only see their own client's sites.

Compare environments

The Compare page (Sites → Compare) lets you put any two sites side-by-side to spot regressions after a deploy. Useful when you maintain both a staging and production site in SiteBrief.

Metrics compared:

  • Uptime percentage (last 7 days)
  • Downtime events (last 24 hours)
  • Average response time
  • SSL certificate expiry
  • Security headers grade
  • PageSpeed score

Rows with differences are highlighted in yellow. The better value in each row is highlighted in green. A summary at the bottom lists any detected issues (site down, SSL expiring soon, large response time gap, PageSpeed difference of 10+ points).

Notification center

The bell icon at the bottom of the sidebar shows all recent notifications. The red badge shows how many are unread. Click any notification to mark it read.
